Bent Laser Cut Benches

Laser Cut and Bent

The Classic and Classic Arch Benches are cut from a single sheet of metal. Laser cutting allows for precise cuts and unique designs. This allows our artists to incorporate complex portraits, inscriptions, logos, and sceneries into the bench design.

Bending the remember bench into shape requires fewer welds; resulting in a stronger product.

Features

At Smith Steelworks, our benches are designed to last year after year.

Sandblast

Sandblasting the bench to a white finish removes any impurities from the metal. Rust, oil, and old paint are prime examples. It also creates a profile that helps the powder coat adhere to the metal.

Prime

Epoxy primer is the second step in prepping for powder coat. Primer acts as the “glue” between the metal and final coat. Without the primer, the powder coat wouldn’t properly bond to the metal.

Powder Coat

Lastly, powder is applied to the bench and baked at 400 degrees. The powder melts into the steel, creating a smooth surface. Once dry, the powder coat becomes resistant to scratches and scuffs.

Remember Benches Design Process

Before the remember benches are laser cut, we send the customer a mockup. This gives a realistic representation of how the finished bench will look.

Our designers are capable of taking logos, images, etc. and turning them into laser cut ready files. When placing order, be sure to attach any photos that you would like incorporated into the remember benches.
