Make The Memorial Bench A Little Extra

What makes our metal memorial benches standout? We don’t create cookie cutter benches. Let the bench tell their story through names, dates, personalized messages, and portraits.

Metal Memorial Benches Process

Don’t know where to start? Here is an example of how the Don Tuttlel Bench went from design to final product.

Email Ideas

smithsteelsales@gmail.com
First, email your ideas for the metal memorial bench. Describe in detail what you want incorporated on the bench back. This may include: sketches, pictures, written description, or examples from past benches we have created.

Bench Mockup

Next, our team takes your bench ideas and creates a mockup. This provides a true likeness of how the bench will look. It will be emailed to you for revisions and approval. Ultimately, the bench is not manufactured until we have the green light from you.

Finalized Bench

Last, the bench is laser cut from a single sheet of metal, bent into shape, welded, and powder coated. Metal benches are then packaged up and shipped directly to you. Smith Steelworks ships across the United States. Shipping cost will be included in inital bench quote.

Metal Memorial Benches Durability

Memorial benches are meant to be both beautiful and durable. As a Utah based company, we understand the importance of manufacturing benches that will last in all types of weather conditions.

Welding Process

The bench is laser cut and bent into shape before starting the welding process. Bending the bench requires fewer welds and less points of weakness. All welds are fully closed to prevent moisture from building up. Welds are also grounded down for a smooth, clean surface. Stainless steel footpads are also used to discourage rust.

Powder Coat Finish

No metal memorial bench is complete without our three-step powder coating process. Why is powder coating crucial? Powder coat is a hard shell around the metal that is resistant to scratches, chips, and scuffs. As a result, the bench is less likely to succumb to rust and corrosion overtime. In addition, powder coat keeps it’s color without chalking or sun fade.

Option To Add A Secondary Color

Our client wanted to incorporate the red font into the Don Tuttel Bench. To accomplish this, a backing plate was added and powder coated red. It was then attached to the bench back under the script. Colors options are available here.
