Community Memorial Benches
Creating community memorial benches brings friends and family together to commemorate a beloved individual who has passed away. At Smith Steel Works, we design benches that are sturdy and built to withstand various weather conditions. This specific bench was created in memory of Aaron Abbot, a cherished figure in the Tehachapi, California community. It’s been installed in a park, providing a serene space for everyone to come and fondly remember Aaron.
Memorial Bench Process
Want to create a bench, but aren’t sure where to start? Read through our process below!
Send Ideas
First, send over any pictures, ideas, portraits or inscriptions you want on the community memorial benches.
Mock Up
Next, our talented design team will help create a draft of your bench. Once we recieve your final approval, we send the plans to the shop!
Manufacturing
We laser cut, bend, and weld the bench into shape, ensuring that each weld is fully closed to prevent any moisture from entering.
Bringing Communities Together
Aaron was a cherished member of his church, workplace, and neighborhood. Throughout his adult life, he dedicated 32 years to serving his community through his position at Tehachapi Save Mart. In a collaborative effort, both his church and Save Mart crafted this exquisite bench as a tribute to their friend. These memorial benches help in the grieving process, providing a means to bring loved ones together and celebrate the life of the departed.
Powder Coated Finish
What makes our benches standout? We only use strong polyester powders that keep their color. No need to worry about sun fade or chalking with our benches. Our three-step powder coating process protects the metal from rust and other weathering issues.
