Burial Benches

Burial benches provide a special place to remember, reminisce, and honor the loved one who has passed. The benches can be placed at cemeteries, campuses, or backyards. Each bench is fully customized according to the hobbies, interests, and passions of your loved one. Photos, logos, or favorite quotes can be used. These images become a jumping off start for those too young to remember to ask those opening inquiry questions. Burial benches become a place to sit as you pass on the cherished memories and stories of that valued person in your life. Because of this Smith Steelworks burial bench can be an uplifting, commemorative location to heal and pass on the hope and dreams of the one that has passed.

Custom Burial Benches

With this in mind, is there a bench that catches your eye? Have you started to create a plan? Smith Steelworks has a variety of bench styles to choose from: classic, classic arch, metropolitan, child’s size, and our bench swing. More over we also have a large selection of colors and textures to choose from to stand out or to blend into it’s future environment.

Step 1: Brainstorming

First, it’s time to brainstorm. Did your loved one have an oft timed saying or quote? What was their passion or favorite hobby? Do you have a favorite photo that captures their image perfectly? What about that loved one makes you laugh or smile, eager to tell the story? Draw it up or write it up, and email it to us.

Step 2:Mockup

Next, our skilled designer takes your ideas and turns them into a bench mockup. This will provide a realistic look at how the burial bench will look. The mockup will be emailed to you for approval before we move onto the next step. This will give you a chance to review the design, wording, etc. and make any changes if needed.

Step 3: Manufacturing

Last, the bench is cut from a single sheet of metal with the use of a laser cutter. It is then bent into shape to cut down on needed welds. The bench is then sandblasted, primed, and powder coated for a long-lasting finish. Smith Steelwork burial benches are available in a variety of color options. (This bench is Bangel Red)

You can learn more about the powder coating process here.

Long-Lasting Benches

At Smith Steelworks, we design custom benches that are durable and long-lasting.

Weatherproof Finish

Thanks to our three-step powder coating process, burial benches are designed to last in outdoor conditions. Powder coating is double the thickness of paint and more resistant to chips and scratches. This allows you to install the memorial bench in cemeteries, parks, campuses, and other outdoor areas.

Vibrant Color

Besides providing excellent weatherproof protection, powder coat is also available in a large variety of vibrant colors. The finish is resistant to sun fade and will stay looking bright year after year.

Durable Design

Forming the body of the bench from one sheet of metal cuts down the need for as many welds. More welds equal more points of weakness. Each weld is fully closed to prevent moisture from entering.
